James is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he received his undergraduate degree and played collegiate basketball for Tennessee Temple University. He then obtained his Master of Education from Liberty University and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he coached basketball and taught special education at Mount Juliet High School for five years.

After experiencing the criminal justice system firsthand, James developed a sincere desire to help others going through the same. He then attended Belmont University College of Law and graduated in 2020. Having been there himself, James is empathetic and passionate about fighting for others, no matter how tough the battle. He focuses primarily on Criminal Defense, DUI Defense, Family Law, and Landlord/Tenant representation.

When he is not practicing law, James enjoys going to church at Crosspoint, spending time with his wife, running with his dogs, Cash and Moolah, watching the Los Angeles Lakers, or listening to a good podcast.
